Booster Club Minutes for 3-13-2008

We Received $5000 from the ASB.  As of right not we are (1065.00).  Coach Trainor went over Budget concerns.  It is normal for teams to spend money before they have it.  It is important to order items early to receive them in time for the season. 

Out look looks good for this year.  We are looking at a surplus for next year.

Coach wants the Booster club to work on lunches and dinners.  Also wants us to push the Tailgate parties.  Tailgate parties where a big success last year, want to continue.

Sara Jane resigned as Co-Chair of the booster club due to prior commitments.

There is a possibility of getting a free car to smash up for a possible fundraiser or something fun for the students to do.  There is a lot more to do before this becomes a possibility

We want to make sure and Support the Seniors, so they have a good and fun year.

We are wanting to get a mission Statement for the Booster club.

This is what I came up with.  Any suggestions are welcome.  Please send any suggestions to me.

To Support the head Coach and the football team.  We do this by raising necessary money to ensure that all players have the equipment necessary for the season.  To support the team from the stands by coming to as many games as possible and making sure that they can hear us from the stands.

Coach Kirk has a source for getting clothing cheap so we can sell at the games.  We need to pay up front for items.  We need to find a few items that we would like to get.

At the PTSA meeting I learned that the blankets are pretty much a go.  They need to get a pre-order of 100 blankets.  If the Boosters sold them we would get the profit.  We would by them for $23.50 and sell them for $45.00.  If anyone wants to pre-order please let me know.  I think those would sell very well before the games.  They look nice and are very warm

We are wanting to make committees for fund raising.  We need someone to contact Starbuck to set up two meetings. 

Fund raising committee meeting will be 3-26-2008 at 7:00 p.m.  Anyone interesting in coming will be welcome.  This is to discuss future fundraising.

I included a picture of the blanket.  The blankets are 60 x 80 and are quite thick.  Again drop me an e-mail if you would like to pre-order some blankets.
