AP U.S. Government - syllabus (pdf)

Advanced Placement U.S. Government & Politics and Comparative Politics offers students an opportunity to attempt college level work, acquire new skills and improve study habits. This course is an in-depth study of the basic concepts and issues in United States Government and five other governments. This course combines two curriculum areas which are intensive, accelerated courses designed to prepare students for the College Board Advanced Placement Examination. College credit or placement may be awarded upon successful completion of the test. Successful completion of this class also satisfies the graduation requirement for Citizenship.

2008-2009
This year students will be engaged in two different AP courses of study: AP U.S. Government & Politics during semester 1 and AP Comparative Government & Politics during semester 2. Students will be poised to take both AP exams in May of 2009. Students are required to attend a meeting in room 140 on Thursday, June 5th, at 2:20 for a short informational meeting about the course and summer work. Students who did not attend the meeting listed above should contact me immediately. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. ~Mr. Everett
