Web Design 1 - syllabus (pdf)

This class is an introduction to designing, creating, and maintaining web pages. Students learn how to work with images, how to properly create Web pages, how to properly link Web pages and how to properly maintain Web pages. Course content will include proper file management, appropriate web page design and layout/site appearance, incorporating and working with inline images/graphics. Students will also work with internal and external cascade style sheets.

This course is designed to challenge students with an interest in preparing for a career in Web Design and or continue in an advanced technical program at the college level. Students will develop and refine their skills, expanding their knowledge of graphic design as it functions in the commercial world. Emphasis will be on the development of advanced web design, utilizing tools and software to design and manage content for an online newspaper.

Advanced Web Design - syllabus (pdf)

This course is a continuation of Web Design 2 and generally self directed. Students are expected to enter the class with proficiency and knowledge in HTML codes, CSS and a basic understanding of graphic design. The course is designed to meet the needs and proficiency level of the student and will emphasize individual projects and interning with a web design company. The course may be repeated for elective credits.
